Harbor seals are one of the most populous seals along Alaska's shores. Harbor seals are artful swimmers, extremely well adapted to the ocean. They can often be seen resting on rocky tidal areas, or on floating icebergs. They are curious animals and their distinctly round head and big eyes are often seen popping out of the water.
